SYLVANIA MD380 is an anti-glare suspended linear light designed for environments such as classrooms, libraries, laboratories, and offices. With its ultra-low Unified Glare Rating (UGR), it stands out in the market, meeting the specific need to reduce glare and enhance visual comfort. However, the product’s current design has a dated, utilitarian appearance that lacks modern appeal.

To address this, my design introduces a simple yet elegant upgrade. By adding a stylized form around the light’s core architecture and extending it beyond the end caps, I created sleek, refined details that not only improve the aesthetic but also maintain the product’s functional integrity.
