Dalitek set out to create a unique category of smart control panels specifically designed for children. In China, middle-class millennial parents increasingly prioritize aesthetically pleasing, attractive products for their homes, and they’re willing to invest in enriching their children’s experiences—an approach that distinguishes them from previous generations. However, the smart home market largely overlooks products tailored to children, as most devices are designed to blend seamlessly with adult-oriented home décor.

This concept features a dot matrix LED display beneath a translucent polyurethane cover that displays numbers, symbols, images, and short animations in vibrant colors. The squishy, interchangeable buttons offer a range of fun characters and styles, allowing users to customize the panel’s theme by swapping covers or buttons. With endless possibilities for imaginative play, this design creates an engaging experience for children.
